The EYREs are on the Web!
During my travels on the world wide web, in researching Eyre genealogy, I have found some unique websites featuring the Eyre name.
Some are place names, some are well-known folks, some are just like you and me just trying to carve a niche for themselves in some
way. Websites include those with variations on the spelling of Eyre: Ayr, Ayre, Eyres, etc.
If you know of websites that I am missing and should be listed here - feel free to contact me! All websites open in a new
browser window/tab. Anything I have added to each site's description will be put between [ ].

Elbridge Ayer Burbank
Burbank is a well-known Chicago-based artist who made it his life work to paint portraits of American Indians. He is most famous for his

Burbank wrote. "I have made arrangements to stay here all summer."

Bryn Eyre, Pennsylvannia
Bryn Eyre will be built in New Morgan Borough, Berks County, upon the tradition of Pennsylvania’s finest historic towns
such as Wyomissing, Doylestown, West Chester, and Wayne. Bryn Eyre [brin AIR] is derived from a Welsh phrase meaning Eagle Hill.
Bryn Eyre is named for two bald eagles that nest nearby and are frequently seen on the hills and lakes in New Morgan.

Eayrestown, NJ
Eayrestown is at the opposite end of NJ from where my Eyres settled for a time in the early 1900's
(Hackensack, Ridgeland, etc). There is no known connection between my branch of the Eyre tree and this town, as
far as I know. However, it is a coincidence that, in some documents, my great-grandfather and his family's last name
is spelled Eayre, instead of Eyre.
